This is an intriguing and previously untold story of two British marques with close Welsh connections. The story spans thirty-six years.

It draws the reader into Adrian's vision and follows the evolution of one marque evolution into another.... the latter continuing to this day.

"Ever since the late 1970s Davrian, I have had a passion for Davrians. As an Imp owner and enthusiast, the Davrian represented the ultimate Imp-based car. What's more, it had an enviable track record with numerous class, race, and championship wins to its credit.

Adrian Evans was a visionary. He took his dream (to design and manufacture his own car) and then nutured it. Davrian rose to prominence in the early 1970s and for about a decade the company worked hard to promote the concept and the cars.

Unfortunately, the classic combination of under-investment and over-extension, meant that that by 1983 the company had run its course. All was not lost however as former Davrian employee Tim Duffee, grasped the remains of Davrian with both hands and little-by-little he formed it into Darrian Cars. Darrian has done more than take over where Davrian left off. Under the guidance of Tim Duffee, a highly talented engineer, it has cleverly re-engineered the product, which has been adapted and modified to meet ever-changing needs and requirements. And, as with Davrian before it, Darrian has numerous competitions successes to its credit.

This is the tale of two individuals, two companies, and one aim...to build one of the very best specialist sports cars. This is 'Davrian to Darrian."
